朱：您觉得您在北美的几年教学生涯中感触最深的是什么？

Angela: What do you think has been the most touching part of your teaching career in SNA over the past few years?

　　李：于我而言，感触最深的就是生活非常充实，而且能看到每一年每一届的学生特点都不一样，因此感受到因材施教的重要性是非常大。在教学中，我发现当我使用某种教育方式来教学某些同学时，他们可以很轻松地掌握，但对于有些同学可能就非常难掌握。那么这时候，我要调整我的一个输出的方式，所以我也会比较注重各种各样的教学方法，例如使用一些图表、默写，或者说是一些实际的生活中的例子，让同学能够更好地去掌握知识。还有一个让我在北美感受很深的一点是很多学生都有自己的闪光点。我之前在国内也接受过传统的体制内教育，这种传统教育要求的是统一的一个标准和考核方式，但是在国际化的教育中，我们可以做到给学生更大的一个自我发挥的空间。北美是一所具有包容性的学校，可以让孩子们绽放自己的独特光彩。美美与共，卓 越 惟 斯 (viewing the world as one)，这也是我对待学生的特点，而不是去压抑孩子的天性。例如今年录取了密涅瓦大学和哥伦比亚大学的小 G，在高中阶段他就尝试去创业，去兼职一个平台，我就觉得这是一件很有意思的事情。但如果把这件事情放在一个一般的学校，肯定就会有老师反对，说这个事情是不好的，浪费时间。

Xin: For me, the most profound feeling is that life is very fulfilling, and I can see that the characteristics of students in each year and class are different, so I feel the importance of teaching according to their aptitude. In teaching, I have found that when I use a certain educational method to teach certain students, they can easily master it, but for some students, it may be very difficult to master it. As a consequence, at this point, I need to adjust the way I output knowledge. I pay more attention to various teaching methods, such as using charts, dictation, or some reallife examples, so that students can better grasp the knowledge. Another thing that impressed me deeply in SNA is that many students have their own shining points. I have also received traditional education within the domestic system before, which requires a unified standard and assessment method. However, in international education, we can provide students with a greater space for selfexpression. SNA is an inclusive school that allows children to shine with their unique brilliance. “Viewing the world as one” is also my characteristic in treating students, rather than suppressing their nature. Take G for example, who has been admitted from the University of Minerva and Columbia University this year. In high school, he tried to start aa business and work part-time on a platform. I think this is a very interesting thing. But if this matter is placed in a regular school, there will definitely be teachers who oppose it, saying that it is not good and a waste of time.

　　朱：您觉得北美和别的国际学校相比，有没有什么不一样的地方？

Angela: Do you think there are any differences between SNA and other international schools?

　　李：最近我走访了几个国际学校，感觉北美和它们相比还是挺不一样的。我认为北美最大的特点是保留了很大程度的中国化办学特色，例如对学生手机的管理，对班级和班主任的管理等等。北美还是一所比较偏体制内的学校，但因为作为国际化办学，其课程、活动以及竞赛升学等的指导作用都是走在留学行业的前沿，这也从升学成绩可以体现。我觉得北美与其他国际学校最不一样的一点是，北美是一所中西化结合的国际学校，通过实验室、国际课程、国际竞赛，可以给学生打开一个世界化的眼界。毕竟学生大多都是中国孩子，如果北美完全以国际化学校的放养方式去培养孩子，可能会使一些孩子错过学生时代这段成长的黄金发展期，所以我觉得北美这种家常式的管理、师生之间和睦的关系和班主任对于学生的严格管理对很多孩子还是很重要的，这是北美一个很不一样的地方。

Xin: Recently, I visited several international schools and felt that SNA is quite different from them. I think the most significant feature of SNA is the preservation of a large degree of Chinese style educational characteristics, such as the management of students' mobile phones, the management of classes and homeroom teachers, and so on. SNA is still a relativelyinstitutional school, but as an international institution, its curriculum, activities, and competition guidance are at the forefront of the study abroad industry, which can be reflected in its academic performance. I think the important difference between SNA and other international schools is that SNA is an international school that combines Chinese and Western cultures. Through laboratories, international curriculums, and academic competitions, students can open up a global perspective. After all, most of the students are Chinese children. If SNA were to cultivate their children solely through the free-range approach of international schools, it may cause some children to miss the golden period of growth during their student years. Therefore, I believe that the home style management, harmonious relationship between teachers and students, and strict management of students by homeroom teachers in SNA are still important for many children. This is a very different place in SNA.

　　朱：作为一名经济老师，您认为经济这门学科对于您的意义是什么？

Angela: As an economics teacher, what do you think is the significance of economics for you?

　　李：经济对我的意义非常重要，对我的人生有着很大的影响。我是在硕士的时候跨专业选到了经济学科的专业，在接触到经济学以及其背后的部分哲学、社会学后，我认为我对这个我生活的世界和人际交往方面有了一个更加深刻的理解。在以前，我会有很多的内耗。比如经常时候，我脑子里想好和规划好的事情无法实现使我困扰。学了经济学之后，我发现每个人都有自己的动机，很多事情无法按照计划进行是因为我们没有考虑周全，我们没有站在别人的角度去思考怎样别人会愿意配合你，怎样别人会跟着我们的方案走。这就是我们设计方案时需要考虑的问题，要将他人的动机考虑在内。所以经济学对我的影响很大。

Xin: Economy is of great significance to me and has a significant impact on my life. I chose to study economics as a cross disciplinary major during my master's degree. After being exposed to economics and some of the philosophy and sociology behind it, I believe I have gained a deeper understanding of the world I live in and interpersonal communication. In the past, I would have had a lot of internal friction. For example, often times, the things I have planned and planned in my mind cannot be realized, which troubles me. After studying economics, I found that everyone has their own motives, and many things cannot be carried out according to plan because we have not considered everything comprehensively. We have not stood in the perspective of others to think about how others will be willing to cooperate with you and how others will follow our plan. This is the issue we need to consider when designing a plan, taking into account the motivations of others. Consequently, economics has had a great impact on me.

　　朱：3月21日学校举办了狂欢之夜演唱会，您觉得自己的表现如何？以及谈一谈您的感受。

Angela: On March 21st, the school held HAHA NIGHT 2024. How do you feel about your performance? And talk about your feelings.

　　李：我认为这个狂欢之夜非常有意思。首先感谢 Peter 他们花了很多时间来准备这些节目，搭建这个舞台，打造很多随机抽取的互动环节，让很多老师学生都有展现自己的机会。很多孩子都在狂欢之夜享受到了一次非常开心的互动之旅和一场别开生面的一场视觉盛宴。校长们的 MV，Peter 的串烧，以及很多学生没有准备地上台表演，都是绝佳的自我展示，都很棒。Peter 把我放在开场节目也是希望我来定本次演唱会的基调，让大家都比较开心和放得开。

Xin: I think HAHA NIGHT is very interesting. First of all, I would like to thank Peter and his team for spending a lot of time preparing these performances, setting up this stage, and creating many randomly selected interactive segments, which have given many teachers and students the opportunity to showcase themselves. Many children enjoyed a very happy interactive journey and a unique visual feast on HAHA NIGHT. The music videos of the principals, Peter's song medley, and many students performing unprepared on stage are all excellent. Peter included me in the opening program hoping that I would set the tone for this concert and make everyone happy and open.

　　朱：您为什么选择陶喆的《就是爱你》作为开场节目？

Angela: Why did you choose David Zee Tao’s " Love Can" as the opening program?

　　李：我其实会唱的歌比较多，我老婆推荐了这首歌，因为《就是爱你》这首歌和本次晚会的主题比较贴近。就像我在北美这几年，感触很深的就是很多学生的闪光点需要用爱去浇灌。如果老师和学生之间没有纯洁的关爱，学生们很难取得个性化的成就。

Xin: I actually have a lot of songs to sing, and my wife recommended this song because "Love Can" is closer to the theme of this evening party. Just like in my years in SNA, what I have deeply felt is that many students need love to nurture their shining points. If there is no pure care between teachers and students, it is difficult for students to achieve personalized achievements.

　　朱：您在教学工作中有没有让您特别有感触的学生？

Angela: Do you have any students who have particularly touched you in your teaching work?

　　李：当然，我在北美接触到很多让我印象深刻的学生。从高年 级 往 低 年 级 数，12 年 级 学生中有很多我从高一教到高三的，这部分学生中有很多让我非常有感触的，比如小 J，他很扎实，是一个在很多教过他的老师眼中模范的学生。他上课回答问题很积极，下课也会自己思考，而且他对哲学很感兴趣，会跟我探讨一些哲学方面的问题，同时他又敢于去以一个非常开放的心态去接纳新的知识并且深入地思考。还有小 Z、小 J，他们在 9 年级、10年级的时候没有那么优秀，即使不在特别好的班级，他们通过自己蓬勃向上的努力和对自己的高要求，也取得了很好的成就。同时这两个学生都很有个性，我认为有个性的学生不仅在北美更是在未来都会很有前景。对于 11 年级的学生有感触的就更多了，他们中的很多都是从 9 年级就在北美但现在还没有毕业的。例如现在正在采访我的小Z， 小S和小Y，我觉得都是在不同方面非常优秀的学生。小 Z 是非常快地适应了新环境，而且非常积极地参与学校活动，有着各种各样的表现，而且有着明确的目标和想法。小 S 也是，非常优秀地适应了新的学习环境而且取得了优秀的成绩。小 Y 是在高二才转到国际方向，留给她的时间会相对少，但她也是很有个性的学生，希望她可以在接下来的日子里利用好时间，成功申请到好的学校。10 年级也有很多令我印象深刻的孩子，我觉得都特别有意思，数不胜数啊，就不一一列举了。

Xin: Of course, I have come into contact with many impressive students in SNA. From higher grades to lower grades, there are many 12th grade students who I taught from first year to third year. Among these students, there are many that I have deeply touched, such as J. He is very solid and a model student in the eyes of many teachers who have taught him. He is very proactive in answering questions in class, and also thinks on his own after class. He is very interested in philosophy and will discuss some philosophical issues with me. At the same time, he dares to accept new knowledge with a very open attitude and think deeply. There are also XZ and J, who were not as outstanding in 9th and 10th grade. Even if they were not in a particularly good class, they achieved great success through their vigorous efforts and high expectations of themselves. At the same time, both of these students have personalities, and I believe that students with personalities will have great prospects not only in SNA but also in the future. There are even more feelings for 11th grade students, many of whom have been in SNA since 9th grade but have not yet graduated. For example, I am currently interviewing Z, S, and Y, and I think they are all excellent students in different aspects. Z adapted very quickly to the new environment and actively participated in school activities, showing various performances and having clear goals and ideas. S also adapted very well to the new learning environment and achieved excellent grades. Y only switched to the international direction in her sophomore year of high school, leaving her relatively little time. However, she is also a very individualistic student, and I hope she can make good use of her time in the coming days and successfully apply to a good school. There are also many children in 10th grade who have left a deep impression on me. I think they are all very interesting, so I won't list them one by one.
