10 月 24 日，周二下午 , 双语跨文化交流项目会议如愿在剧院召开。双语跨文化交流项目以线上、双语的模式为学生们提供了一个了解其他地区文化、了解世界多样性的机会，搭建了一个跨文化探索的平台。对于学生而言不仅有助于个人成长和学术发展，还有助于建立更开放、包容和全球化的思维方式，为未来的成功和社会责任感奠定基础。让学生们自信地走出国门，拥抱世界，拥抱和平。该项目会定期以不同的主题和其他地区的同学们展开交流。九月份的主题是节假日。本次会议就对于不同地方节假日的文化交流进行了总结和分享。让我们再次走进这次会议，探索双语跨文化交流。

On Tuesday afternoon, October 24th, the Bilingual Intercultural Communication Program (BICP) meeting was held in the theatre as expected. The Bilingual Intercultural Exchange Program provides students with an opportunity to learn about other regional cultures and the diversity of the world in an online, bilingual mode, and builds a platform for cross-cultural exploration.For students it not only contributes to personal growth and academic development, but also helps to build a more open, inclusive and globalized mindset, laying the foundation for future success and social responsibility. It allows students to step out confidently to embrace the world and peace. The program regularly interacts with students from other regions with different themes. The theme for September was holidays. This meeting summarized and shared the cultural exchanges on holidays in different places. Let's go back to this meeting and explore the bilingual intercultural communication.

　　在会议的开始，是 Marie 教授热情的演讲。“文化是什么?”“为什 么提高我们的文化意识很重要?”Marie 向我们发出了疑问。她以不同 地区表达感谢的方式为例讲述了文化如何塑造我们的感恩之心，强调 了文化的多样性，鼓励学生们去思考去探索。

At the beginning of the conference was Prof. Marie's enthusiastic presentation. "What is culture?" "Why is it important to raise our cultural awareness?" Marie questioned us. She talked about how culture shapes our gratitude with examples of how different regions express thanks, emphasizing the diversity of cultures and encouraging students to think and explore.

　　在这之后，双语跨文化交流项目的指导老师 Jeans Yang , Lucky Zhang , Summer Wang , Leon Li , Geoge Wu 也上台给我们介绍了此次项目，并 分享了他们对于项目的见解和感悟。Geoge Wu老师作为指导老师之一， 他说，这次项目给了他机会去认识不同文化背景下的人们，这种跨文 化的交流一直也将永远是他生活中至关重要的一部分。Leon Li 老师向 大家分享了中外的传统节日和不同的当地习俗，就比如我们的传统节 日春节和中秋节，国外的感恩节和独立日。这都是极具地方特色，融 合着当地的历史和传统的节日。每一个节日都有它们的意义和象征， 通过节日我们能了解到不同的文化习俗，理解当地的生活传统，促使 我们更好的交流互鉴。 Lucky Zhang 老师和 Summer Wang 老师也同样 分享了她们对文化交流的理解。文化本身就是多元的，包含着时空， 宗教，种族的概念，它没有高下、优劣之分，只有特色、地域之别。 交流与融合才能让世界文化百花齐放。“家的味道是什么”Jeans Yang 老师作为本项目的负责人从地方美食和我们聊了聊多元文化的理解与 尊重。她说：”家是一个令人心驰神往的地方，也是我们生活中最重 要的一部分。当我们谈论家的时候，不同地域给家的定义带来了令人 惊奇的多样性。”我想这就是不同文化交流碰撞时带来的奇妙的化学 反应。另外，杨老师呼吁我们尊重文化差异，关注多元文化，积极地 参与进文化交流的活动里来，不做世界与文明的过客。传承历史、跨 越文化、奔向未来。

After that, the instructors of the Bilingual Intercultural Exchange Program, Jeans Yang , Lucky Zhang , Summer Wang , Leon Li , Geoge Wu, came on stage to introduce the program and share their insights and feelings about the program. As one of the instructors, Mr. Geoge Wu said that this program gave him the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and that this cross-cultural communication has been and will always be a crucial part of his life. Mr. Leon Li shared with us the traditional Chinese and foreign festivals and local customs, such as our traditional Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival, and Thanksgiving Day and Independence Day in foreign countries. These are all very local festivals that incorporate local history and traditions. Each festival has its own significance and symbols. Through festivals, we can learn about different cultures and customs, understand local traditions, and promote better communication and mutual understanding. Ms. Lucky Zhang and Ms. Summer Wang also shared their understanding of cultural exchange. Culture itself is diversified, including the concepts of time and space, religion and race, and there is no superiority or inferiority, but only characteristics and geographical differences. Only through exchange and integration can world culture blossom. "Ms. Jeans Yang, as the leader of this project, talked to us about the understanding and respect of multiculturalism from the local cuisine. She said, "Home is a fascinating place and the most important part of our lives. When we talk about home, different regions bring a surprising diversity to the definition of home." I think this is the marvelous chemical reaction brought about when different cultures exchange and collide. In addition, Mr. Yang called on us to respect cultural differences, pay attention to multiculturalism, and actively participate in cultural exchanges so as not to be a passer-by of the world and civilization. Inherit history, cross cultures, and run into the future.

　　最后，参加了本次跨文化交流的学生代表 Grace，Lucas，Kristen，Rain 还有 Frank 同学和我们分享了他们的收获和感悟。Grace 说从交流中， 她对这些习俗有了更深的了解，更加尊重和欣赏不同文明的独特性。 她开始思考自己的价值观，信仰，行为是如何受到文化的影响的。从 各位学生代表的发言中，不难看出他们对于不同文化的喜爱和在文化 交流过程中的深刻感悟。

Finally, Grace, Lucas, Kristen, Rain and Frank, the representatives of the students who participated in the cross-cultural exchange, shared their experiences with us. Grace said that from the exchange, she has gained a deeper understanding of the customs, and has become more respectful and appreciative of the uniqueness of different civilizations. She began to think about how her values, beliefs, and behaviors are influenced by culture. From the speeches of the student representatives, it is not difficult to see their love for different cultures and their deep feelings in the process of cultural exchange.

"All things exist side by side without harm, and the Tao runs parallel without contradiction." Equality is a prerequisite for cultural exchange and mutual understanding. Acknowledging the differences of cultures and respecting the uniqueness of civilizations is the only way to promote the exchange and mutual understanding of civilizations. It will bring about the growing prosperity of Chinese culture and the graceful and colorful blossoming of world culture.
