喜报又传！SNA人才辈出，在这新一届VEX机器人工程挑战赛中由sna五位同学组成的小队获得了令人满意的好成绩，在这里，我们有幸邀请到了指导老师吴老师给我们分享一些有关于这场比赛的内容。

Good news continues to pour in! SNA is producing talents, and in the recent VEX Robotics Engineering Challenge, a team of five SNA students achieved impressive results. Here, we are fortunate to have invited teacher Wu to share some insights about the competition.

　　Q：老师您在过程中遇到了哪些趣事和哪些困难可以和我们分享一下的嘛？

Q: Can you share some interesting anecdotes or challenges you encountered during the process?

　　吴老师：最初，最大的困难就是机器人的组建。因为我们学校机器人竞赛之前是没有的，然后今年将此项目引进我们学校的话还是比较迷茫的。因为是第一次，一个是机器人的费用它也比较大，但是这个机器人是美国顶级赛事，好多教育部白名单比赛是包涵VEX机器人。但是我们学校没有先例，从0到1是非常困难的，所以说在招生的情况下我们用了很长的时间。另一个是这个项目比较新，第一周我去推的时候没有人报名，很困难，又考虑到这个事我们已经做了一定要把它做好，第一年一定要做出来，我就去跟校长申请优惠，第一个队伍进行打折处理，把现金优惠到学生身上，然后经历了困难招到了五个孩子。

Wu: Initially, the biggest challenge was building the robot. Since our school had no prior experience in robot competitions, introducing this project to our school was quite perplexing. It was the first time, and the cost of the robot was substantial. However, VEX Robotics is a top-tier competition in the United States and is included in many competitions on the Ministry of Education's whitelist. With no precedent in our school, starting from scratch was very challenging. It took a long time during the recruitment process, and initially, no one signed up. Considering this, we had to ensure that we did well, so I went to the principal to request discounts for the first team. We provided cash incentives to students, and after overcoming these difficulties, we finally recruited five students.

　　Q：我们想听一下您对这个作品的介绍可以吗？

Q: Can you introduce the project to us?

　　VEX机器人它是一个综合性的一个项目是基于steam，基于时代工科，科学，物理，一些机械，计算机编程类的和一些动手能力还有领导力和一些学生全面发展的一个结合体，并不是一门学科。因为VEX机器人可以租一队，每个队有6个人，一队成员可以有不同的角色，假如你是学文科的，也喜欢机器人，但是没有办法去玩这个机器人，但你可以成为里面的一个角色叫外联，外联这个角色呢，英语要好，语言协调沟通能力要好，就可以胜任这个位置。VEX机器人他是两个队组成一组，总共有4台机器人在场地内进行2v2，队伍是随机匹配的你需要去和对方沟通，去商量一个策略，这就是外联需要做的事情，我们在亚锦赛这种大型比赛后期的时候会让外联的人自己去找队伍组队，不是随机组队，如果你的能力好，即使你的综合实力比别人差，但是你的外联厉害，沟通能力强，人家同意跟你组队也是你的一个能力，说不定你通过外联这个角色，把你这个队伍的实力拉上去了，这个也是有可能的。

VEX Robotics is a comprehensive project based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It involves science, physics, mechanics, computer programming, hands-on skills, leadership, and overall student development. Unlike a single discipline, VEX Robotics integrates various aspects and is not limited to a specific subject. VEX Robotics allows diverse roles within a team of six members. Even if a student is more inclined towards liberal arts, they can still contribute in roles like liaison, which requires good English language and communication skills. VEX Robotics comprises two teams in a match, with a total of four robots competing in 2v2 matches. Teams are randomly matched, requiring communication and strategy discussions with opponents. This is where the liaison role becomes crucial, especially in larger competitions, where liaisons must find and form teams, emphasizing the importance of communication skills.

　　Q：老师您对我们校队的成员做了哪些指导？

Q: What guidance did you provide to the team members?

　　我主要给他们队员平时训练上的一些支持和一些比赛中不足的分析，比如我们平时的训练，什么时候训练到几点，该训练什么，都是有详细的安排。然后上一次我们在参加完市赛之后，因为我们是一个新队伍，第一次去比赛，我们打了4场，赢了一场，看完第三次之后我们马上跟队伍的同学讲，一定要去把第四场的队伍找到，做好策略怎么打比赛的策略，现场指导了一下，然后第4场就赢了。然后整个苏州赛事回来我们从第一场到最后一场到每个队员的状态，我们不足在哪里我们哪里可以继续提升，有哪些地方需要改进的。其实这个时代是一个数据威望的时代，就是说你的大数据在哪里，没有数据你怎么去比赛，我们一定要确保在第一轮的时候和队伍要做出一个大数据，你要了解所有参赛选手的机器的特点是什么，然后你的队友是哪个队，他的机器人的特点是什么，不要人家说什么就是什么，人家说的不一定是对的，因为第一二场是是被队友坑了，你的自信你要放大，放大你的自信要坚持，最后一场就强调这个挂钩你要自己挂，不要相信人家，最后他自己挂了成功了而且是0失败，没有哪些错误的点。

I mainly supported them in their training and analyzed their shortcomings during competitions. Our training schedule, what to train at what time, and what needs improvement were all meticulously planned. After the city competition, where we won one out of four matches, I immediately communicated with the students to find the team for the fourth match, strategizing on how to approach it. The team won the fourth match, and after returning from the Suzhou competition, I analyzed the performance of each team member from the first to the last match. We identified our weaknesses and areas for improvement. In this era of data dominance, we must ensure that, during the first round, we analyze the data of all participating players, understand the characteristics of their robots, and collaborate with teammates. It's crucial to have data because what others say may not always be accurate. We must build confidence and emphasize the importance of self-confidence. In the final match, we emphasized the importance of hooking on our own, not trusting others. The hook was successful with zero failures, and we secured second place.

　　Q：在比赛的过程中您的心情如何？

Q: How did you feel during the competition?
 

　　经过这个苏州市赛之后我们回来仅仅有4-5天的时间去准备省赛，我的心态其实很简单，我们只要把我们暴露的弱点和问题点解决掉，孩子们有正常发挥就行了，我也没有什么大的期望去得什么大的奖。发挥好一点拿个三等奖，发挥不好点让他们去练练手，第一个市赛省赛，因为去之前我们把所有东西都分析过了，队长也按照我们老师教的事情去做了，我们总共打了10轮，到第10轮的时候输了，一路杀到底，像一匹黑马一样，最后得了个亚军。

After the Suzhou city competition, we only had 4-5 days to prepare for the provincial competition. My mindset was simple – as long as we address our exposed weaknesses and issues, and the students perform normally, that would be sufficient. I did not have high expectations for winning major awards. Performing slightly better and winning a third-place award would be acceptable; performing poorly would be a chance for them to practice more. In the first and second competitions, we analyzed everything beforehand. The team captain followed the instructions, and we played 10 rounds, losing only in the 10th round. We advanced like a dark horse, securing the runner-up position.

　　Q：获奖之后您的想法是什么？

Q: What are your thoughts after winning the award?

　　现在我的想法是冲出中国，在亚锦赛希望我们也可以得一个名次，在接下来不到20天的时间里，我们会根据现有的不足，特别是在外联这一块还是加强，每个人负责这个角色然后备用角色是哪一个，加强外联和大数据分析这一块因为到了亚锦赛不只是中国还有其他周围国家的队伍都在，后期靠你去外联去组队的，这个非常非常重要，这是接下来其中一个重点，另一个重点呢还是我们要培养另一个操作手，第一操作手能力已经可以了，达到我们的需求了但是我们的副操作手必须得搞起来因为每个人的抗压能力都不一样现在这个操作手很好他喜欢做自己喜欢的事情，兴趣还是很重要的。

My current thought is to aim for success in the Asian Championship. In the next 20 days, we will focus on strengthening areas of weakness, particularly in liaison and big data analysis. In the Asian Championship, teams from not only China but also surrounding countries will participate. In the later stages, it depends on your efforts in liaison and team formation, which is crucial. This will be a significant focus moving forward. Another key aspect is to train another operator. The first operator's abilities are already sufficient for our requirements, but we must elevate the skills of the second operator. Each person's ability to handle pressure is different, and the second operator is crucial. The current operator is excellent, enjoying what he does, and interests are essential.
