NEC全称为National Economics Challenge（全美经济学挑战赛），是由美国经济教育学会CEE（Council for Economic Education）举办的极具影响力的中学生经济学学术活动。NEC 是一项旨在激发学生对经济学兴趣的学术竞赛，它不仅考验了学生们对经济学知识的掌握，还锻炼了他们的团队合作能力、解決问题的能力以及建立批判性思维习惯。

The NEC, also known as the National Economics Challenge, is an influential academic event in high school economics organized by the Council for Economic Education (CEE). NEC is an academic competition aimed at stimulating students' interest in economics. It not only tests their mastery of economic knowledge, but also exercises their teamwork ability, problem-solving ability, and critical thinking habits.

At the end of March, several North American students gathered in Qingdao to participate in the NEC National Station competition. Everyone has their own gains, let's listen to the sharing of student representatives below:

　　林文策：我要感谢SNA给了我成为旗手的机会。这是一次非常有意义的经历，我会一直珍藏在心中。在NEC全国站期间，我很高兴见到了许多优秀的老师和学生，这让我开阔了视野，以及扩大了我的交流圈。尽管一开始我对自己的初试成绩充满了自信，但我很快认识到我不一定能在全国站依旧取得好成绩，我感受到了来自一线城市顶尖国际学校学生的竞争力。

Lin Wence：I want to express my gratitude to SNA for giving me the chance to be a flag bearer. It was a truly valuable and meaningful experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. During the NEC National, I had the pleasure of meeting many outstanding teachers and students, which helped me broaden my horizons and expand my circle. Although I was initially overconfident based on my good preliminary results, I quickly learned that winning wasn't guaranteed and I deeply realized the competitiveness of students from top international schools in first-tier cities.

I am very excited and proud to have made it to the NEC global stage. Working alongside my economics teachers, Angelo and Epoche, has been a journey full of challenges and growth. I also realized that I can only go farther in my subsequent study abroad journey by continuously improving my academic ability and competitiveness.This promotion is not only an honor for me, but also a new starting point. I will continue to keep my initial intention, move forward, and continuously improve my ability and level. I am confident that I will achieve even better results in the NEC Global Competition and bring honor to myself and my school.

　　张皓允：我和我的组员们在线上的初赛中获得区域银奖后，我们成功晋级到了在青岛举办的全国站线下赛。在比赛前一天晚上，我们共同复习微观经济学、宏观经济学、国际贸易等知识点，为第二天的QT环节做好了充分的准备。

Zhang Haoyun: After my team and I won the regional silver medal in the preliminary online competition, we successfully advanced to the national offline competition held in Qingdao. On the evening before the competition, we reviewed knowledge points such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international trade together, and made sufficient preparations for the QT session the next day.

　　我们的辛勤付出也得到了回报，在激烈的完成了两个不同的竞赛环节后，荣获了最佳团队合作奖和最佳批判性思考组奖等荣誉。回顾这次经历，我很愿意向大家推荐这个经济竞赛，因为它提供了学习机会、人脉的建立，以及参与比赛带来的乐趣。我希望鼓励有志向的同学抓住机会，挑战自我，建立联系，体验学术竞争的刺激。NEC经济竞赛不仅是学术成长的平台，也是促进友谊、创造美好回忆的机会。我认为，NEC是一场能在将来对大家的学术以及职业领域带来积极影响的竞赛。

Our hard work has also paid off. After completing two different competition stages fiercely, we were awarded honors such as the Best Team Collaboration Award and the Best Critical Thinking Group Award. Looking back on this experience, I am willing to recommend this economic competition to everyone because it provides learning opportunities, networking, and the joy of participating in the competition. I hope to encourage ambitious students to seize opportunities, challenge themselves, establish connections, and experience the excitement of academic competition. The NEC economic competition is not only a platform for academic growth, but also an opportunity to promote friendship and create beautiful memories. I believe that NEC is a competition that can have a positive impact on everyone's academic and professional fields in the future.

　　顾珺：在SKT-NEC的赛场上，更多的不是冷冰冰的竞技，而是一个学术分享会。除了第一天的上午的QT环节，我们参加了组委会举办的各个工坊，锻炼团队协作并合力完成的沙盘游戏，经济与艺术两门不同学科的交融，这些都是书本上看不见的知识，也让我再一次见识到了经济的魅力。同时晚上的青岛之夜也是本次活动的一大亮点，在这里，来自全国各地的NECers在此齐聚一堂，互相了解，互相认识。在这里，紧张、焦虑的情绪得到了疏解，在每个参加活动的人的心中留下了一个难忘且充实的夜晚。

Gu Jun: On the field of SKT-NEC, there is more than just a cold competition, but an academic sharing event. In addition to the QT session on the morning of the first day, we participated in various workshops organized by the organizing committee, practiced teamwork and worked together to complete a sandbox game, and the integration of two different disciplines of economics and art. These are knowledge that cannot be seen in books, which also allowed me to once again see the charm of economics. At the same time, the Qingdao Night in the evening was also a highlight of this event. Here, NECers from all over the country gathered together to get to know each other and get to know each other. Here, the tense and anxious emotions are relieved, leaving an unforgettable and fulfilling night in the hearts of every participant.
